Dr. Germán Guido-Lavalle is one of Latin America’s most distinguished nuclear energy leaders, bringing decades of executive, engineering, academic, and entrepreneurial experience to Orion Energy Consulting’s Advisory Board. His expertise strengthens Orion’s capabilities in nuclear energy, supporting governments, investors, and industry leaders as they develop the technical, strategic, and regulatory foundations for future nuclear energy initiatives.
Dr. Guido-Lavalle has served as President of the Argentine Atomic Energy Commission (CNEA), Vice President of Nucleoeléctrica Argentina and INVAP, and founded two engineering and technology companies, Candoit and Trasmy. He also served as Dean of two of Argentina’s leading universities, ITBA and UADE, and has led major engineering and technology projects throughout Latin America and internationally.
He holds Ph.D. and M.E. degrees in Nuclear Engineering from Instituto Balseiro, Argentina, and is fluent in English and Spanish.
