Carlos is a petroleum engineer and oil and gas executive with extensive experience in corporate transformation, capital deployment control in projects, operations management, drilling, and completions. He has worked in engineering, management, and executive drilling and completions positions at BP, Pan American Energy, and Equion Energía in Colombia, Argentina, Bolivia, and other regions. He recently served as VP of Transformation for Ecopetrol, achieving US$3.2 billion in structural and sustainable cost optimizations over three consecutive years.
He holds a BSc in Petroleum Engineering from the University of América, Colombia.
