Carlos is a seasoned energy executive and M&A advisor with over three decades of experience across Latin America and the U.S. He currently serves as Executive Secretary of ARPEL and is a Non-Executive Advisory Board Member at Orion Energy Consulting.
Carlos has held engineering, commercial, and leadership roles at Amoco, Plains Resources, San Jorge, Chevron, Tecpetrol, and Ecopetrol, and worked in investment banking with Harrison Lovegrove, Standard Chartered, and HSBC. He also co-founded G&G Energy Consultants, held a senior advisory role at Arthur D. Little, and co-founded Plata Energy.
He holds a BSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Buenos Aires, an MSc in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Tulsa, and an MBA from Rice University. He is a Non-Resident Fellow at the Institute of the Americas, UC San Diego.
