Ivan is an experienced reservoir engineer and energy executive with a global track record across Latin America, the Gulf of Mexico, Europe, and Asia. He currently serves as a Consulting Partner at Orion Energy Consulting, focusing on reservoir engineering, unconventional resources, and geothermal energy.
He is also the Founder and CEO of Renascent Energy and has held senior technical and advisory roles at Chevron, Eni, and Casa Exploration LP. Ivan brings deep expertise in exploration, appraisal, and field development—including onshore, shallow, and deepwater offshore—as well as new ventures, asset optimization, reserves management, and EOR strategies.
He holds a BSc and MSc in Mechanical Engineering, an MSc in Petroleum Engineering, a PhD in Environmental and Geosciences, and an MBA from AFW Wirtschaftsakademie Bad Harzburg, Germany.
