Guillermo is a seasoned energy executive and technological leader with over two decades of global experience spanning oil & gas, nuclear energy, and digital transformation. As Chief Technology Officer of Orion Energy Consulting, he leads the integration of advanced technologies across Orion’s consulting and technology practices, positioning the firm at the forefront of innovation in the energy sector.
He has held senior leadership roles across Latin America, North Africa, and Southeast Asia. At Repsol, he spearheaded digital transformation initiatives for global E&P operations and led complex upstream projects, including the execution of the $1B Margarita gas project in Bolivia. He also served on multiple executive boards, overseeing major assets and multidisciplinary teams. Earlier in his career, Guillermo contributed to strategic international nuclear projects at INVAP, including the licensing process for the OPAL research reactor in Australia — one of the most advanced multipurpose reactors worldwide.
Guillermo is the Founder of EON Strategy, a firm specialized in engineering, subsurface operations, and digital technologies for complex energy systems across oil & gas, nuclear, and renewables.
He holds a BSc, MSc, and PhD in Physics from Instituto Balseiro, Argentina, and executive certifications from ESADE, Universidad Austral, and ISDI.
